Why Become a Member?

NVDA connects over 30 NGOs across 22 countries/areas to promote international voluntary service (IVS). As a member, you’ll play a key role in shaping Asia’s volunteer landscape and gaining access to exclusive opportunities and a supportive community.

Membership Eligibility

NVDA welcomes Asia-Pacific-based entities and individuals committed to volunteerism and sustainable development.

  • NGOs and community organizations active in IVS or development.
  • Government bodies or local councils supporting volunteer initiatives.
  • Individuals with a proven record in volunteer leadership (e.g., past NVDA volunteers).
  • Its main office and primary activities are located in Asia/ Oceania.
  • Have organized international workcamps in Asia / Oceania.
    Exemption: Founding organizations may be exempt from these requirements.

Note: “The number of full members from the same countries is restricted up to a maximum of three.” “Entities outside Asia-Pacific may join as associate members with limited benefits—contact us for details.”

Membership Options

Full Member

  • For: Asia-Pacific organizations/individuals.
  • Benefits: Full voting rights, project leadership, event access.
  • Fee: $200/year.

Associate Member

  • For: Non-Asia-Pacific entities or supporters.
  • Benefits: Project participation, networking (no voting rights).
  • Fee: $100/year.

Honorary Member

  • For: Exceptional contributors (by invitation).
  • Benefits: Full privileges, no fee.
  • Fee: N/A.

How to Join?

Ready to become part of NVDA? Follow these steps to apply

Required Documents

  • NVDA Membership Application Form
  • Constitution of your organization with English translation if it is in a language other than English
  • At least 1 introduction letter from any NVDA member who knows your organization or is willing to support your organization
  • Report of your organization’s activities from last year
  • Financial report of the previous year (if any or if not, please complete NVDA Opening Finance form)
  • Certificate of registration as an NGO (if any) or any proof of being an NGO- NPOs by 3 persons who work with your organization as partners or stakeholders
